Sick dog ~ Zieke hond

'Pluto' is the boss of the pack. The other ones are fighting for that position. Sometimes that goes wrong. One of the other dogs bit him in the chest and it became an abces. Time to call the 'Vet'. Pluto is already doing fair again. David appears to be a good Veterinarian Assistent.

'Pluto' is de baas van de roedel. De anderen vechten voor die positie. Soms gaat dat mis. Eén van de andere honden beet hem in de borst en het werd een abces. Tijd de dierenarts te bellen. Het gaat al weer redelijk goed met Pluto. David blijkt een goede Veterinair Assistent te zijn.

Gourmet in Amun

I don't believe there was a reason, but it was on Ugandan Heroes Day that Arja proposed to have a Gourmet. So we had one. Last year we already got the sets from Holland, so it became high time to use them!

Ik geloof niet dat er een reden was, maar het was op Oeganda Helden Dag, dat Arja voorstelde te gourmetten. Dus dat gebeurde. Vorig jaar kregen we de sets al uit Nederland, dus het werd hoog tijd ze te gebruikten!

Studying - Studeren

Kevina and Victorina are in P7 so the final exams are close. They are studying a lot. The Local paper 'Etop' is helpful with a weekly knowledge contest for P7 pupils. The girls are lucky we have an Internet connection, they can find many answers here...

Kevina en Victorina zitten in P7 (Groep '9') dus dichtbij de eindexamens. Ze studeren veel. de lokale krant 'Etop' helpt daarbij met een wekelijkse kennis wedstrijd voor P7 leerlingen. De meiden hebben geluk dat we een Internet verbinding hebben. Ze vinden hier veel antwoorden...

Ik heb me nooit kunnen voorstellen dat Nederland zo dicht bij Soroti zou komen. 'Mokum' aan de Lira Road.
